I'm still thinking about [info]_fiction_ and Nika. The past few days I have been flooding twitter and facebook with links and what not related to the tragedy. That's why I'm back using LJ and it feels damn liberating to use the LJ cut and select the mood.

All of you know I am so-so/ok with photographs but suck at words. So here is my very short tribute reposted from Facebook.

Remembering Lav's number one Fan :(

Putangina Ardy look what I found during HD spring cleaning.

EXIF says it was taken December 15, 2001. I think it was after the premiere of Batang West Side. Putangina 5 hours of my life I can never take back! hahahahaha

alexis

I will miss you fellow aquarian, former co-writer (well you did most of the writing) and friend.

I seriously don't know how we got along cause we would always argue! in my loud barok bakya taglish and you answer in English with your thick accent. I still remember your look of disapproval when I just bought the original DVD of 40 Days and 40 nights. I also remember how frustrated you would get when I would make a face whenever you get into your Lav Diaz sales talk. Come to think of it, it was more like a declaration of love and you were not selling Lav to me. I may have took a raincheck in all of your film screenings...from UA&P to Fully Booked but I was there when you watched Batang West Side for the first time.

i gave you so much shit for sleeping through Batang West Side the first time we saw it (the last time for me, many times for you. Thanks for returning my VHS player) pero buhay na buhay ka in giving the local industry a wake up call. I can't piss you off anymore by saying Laurice Guillen is my favorite director. Shet Ardy salamat, salamat

MABUHAY KA ALEXIS!

P.S. Thanks for helping me find the clipping of our first collab article. I promise to Revisit the Renaissance

I WOULD like to talk about courage.

They are gone because they stayed. )
